After 28 Days, That was it for me. No more zombie movies, but I gave this one a chance, not necessarily because Pitt was the star, because the book was supposedly really good, and Pitt being a serious actor would not choose a popcorn movie. It was an exciting film from beginning to end, partly attributed to very quick and nimble zombies who loved to eat people. Zombies do not strike me as fascinating, but they do have a strong fan base, and combining Bradd Pitt and Zombies brings together notable icons of pop culture, a ruggedly handsome and talented actor, contrasted by the ruggedly grotesque flesh eating undead. It was genius. It worked like magic.
In reality, there have been viruses that has lead to a drastic reduction in population. The Black Death killed between an estimated 75 to 200 million people, as per Wikipedia. This specific viruses mutates people into mindless, enraged cannibals.
